* Sixth in PPG Cup 1995
* Fifth in PPG Cup 1997

1998: Paul Tracy's probation record was far more notable than his race record in his first year with Team KOOL Green. When he wasn't being disciplined, fined, or involved in altercations in the pits, he managed eight top-10 finishes and scored PPG Cup points in nine of 19 starts, including five in a row between Michigan and Laguna Seca. The rest of the season was marred by a lengthy probation that culminated in his exclusion from the 1999 season opener at Homestead. Tracy was initially placed on probation for unjustifiable risk at Detroit, then was fined $20,000 and excluded from final qualifying at Portland for unjustifiable risk. He was back on track six races later, but was fined $5,000 following an altercation with team owner Barry Green at Houston. The zinger that got Tracy excluded from the 1999 season opener was an incident in Australia, where he was cited for blocking, unjustifiable risk and unsportsmanlike conduct. And in case that wasn't enough, he was leading the season finale at California with five laps remaining before a spin under caution denied him the victory. The bad boy of 1998 finished 13th in the PPG Cup (61 points).

1997: Not one to shy away from extremes, Tracy won consecutive events at Nazareth, Rio de Janeiro and Gateway to take the lead in the PPG Cup, then finished 26th or lower in the final five events, skidding to fifth place (121 points). He became the seventh driver ever to win three consecutive PPG Cup races in a season, and the first not to win the championship in that same year. His victory from the pole at Nazareth was one of only two in the series (Alex Zanardi had the other at Cleveland).

* Second in laps led (336)

1996: Tracy went winless for the first season since 1992, finishing 13th in the PPG Cup (60 points) in his return to Marlboro Team Penske. He won poles at Miami and Nazareth, setting a track record at Nazareth (190.737 mph) and becoming the first driver ever to crack 190 mph on a 1-mile oval. He also started first but was not credited with a pole at Milwaukee, which was based on practice times due to a rainout of qualifying. He had six top-10 finishes, including a season-best of third at Milwaukee.

* Started among top eight in 10 events
* Third in laps led (214)
* Injury at Michigan ended consecutive-starts streak (68)

1995: Tracy finished sixth in the PPG Cup (115 points) in only season with Newman/Haas. He earned wins at Australia and Milwaukee and came in second at Road America, Mid-Ohio and Laguna Seca. His other top-10 finishes included a fourth at Phoenix to go along with eighths at Detroit, Toronto and Vancouver.

* Eight DNFs

1994: Tracy finished third in the PPG Cup (152 points) for the second consecutive season with Marlboro Team Penske. He had eight podium appearances, including victories at Detroit, Nazareth and Laguna Seca. He tied for the series lead in poles (four) with his teammate, Al Unser Jr., and set four track records.

1993: In his first full season, Tracy finished third in the PPG Cup (157 points) and tied with series champion Nigel Mansell for most victories (five). His first career triumph came at Long Beach after qualifying on the outside pole. He won from the pole at Cleveland and Road America, and took his other two victories at Toronto and Laguna Seca.

*Topped series in laps led (757)
* Voted STP Most Improved Driver by peers

1992: Filling in for injured Rick Mears, Tracy started 11 races and scored six top-five qualifying efforts, including his first PPG Cup pole at Elkhart Lake. He finished 12th in the PPG Cup (59 points) and had three podium finishes, including seconds at Michigan and Mid-Ohio.

* Fourth in laps led (128)

1991: Tracy made his rookie debut at Long Beach, his only PPG Cup race for Dale Coyne Racing before he signed on as a test driver for Team Penske. He qualified eighth at Michigan for Penske, but crashed on lap three, breaking his left leg. He recovered in time to start the final two races of the season, finishing seventh at Nazareth. He placed 21st in the PPG Cup (six points).
